Born and raised in San Diego, I grew up in an all-female household, with my mom, grandma and three sisters. I was fortunate to attend Our Lady’s School for my elementary education, followed by a demanding college preparatory high school, The Academy of Our Lady of Peace. Then, I attended Southwestern College to complete my two-year general education requirement before transferring to San Diego State University as a top student. I’m very proud to say that I earned money to pay for school and living expenses by working at a coffee shop. During the process of obtaining my BA in international business and Spanish, I had the opportunity to complete several business courses in Spain for half a year, something that has by far been one of the best experiences of my life.

Upon returning from Spain, I decided to not return to the coffee business, but start a part-time career at a large financial institution while I continued my studies. After I graduated, I became a vice president and a top leader, staying in the banking sector for seven years. Then, I transitioned to Northwestern Mutual to help individuals, families and small business owners elevate their financial lives.

My family didn’t have the best economic upbringing and I’ve witnessed many families around me with similar experiences. I’m passionate about volunteering and giving back, especially to the Hispanic and LGBTQ communities.

I spend a lot of my time on my practice, but I also enjoy playing several musical instruments; going to small, local coffee shops with my sisters; and spending quality time with my fiancée, Marisela, and our three furry children.
